Central management
The technology offers central management across multiple sites, automatic replication, enhanced security, audit trails, instant recovery, built-in disaster recovery and data archiving. Backup, recovery and archives are managed across the whole organisation.
Backup
Backups run automatically according to schedule, without manual intervention. Backup data is secured on disk storage, with multiple copies, distributed over multiple sites, and the data is protected by advanced encryption security.
Business processes and hardware sometimes fail, but this is reported automatically via the console and through email notification. Backups will run automatically once it becomes possible.
Backups can protect file servers, application databases, email systems, desktops, and laptops across every business location including head offices, data centres, branch offices, home and mobile offices.
Restore
The data can be restored using the Management Console without needing IT support or the return of backup tapes from offsite storage. The interface provides a list of all the files available for restore from the Backup Appliance. This list is sorted by Backup Date and can contain several different versions of the same file.
The data can be restored to any version - not just the latest one.
Files and folders can be selected by checking and un-checking them using the file tree structure. Individual files, folders, or complete drives can be recovered and restored to any location. Files can be selected for recovery from a specific date and time, or by version.
Archive
Old, stale data can be archived enabling it to be permanently secured for long-term storage. Once it has been archived, this data can be removed from the production servers safe in the knowledge that it is stored in one of the most secure environments in the world.
